Description
Private practice, seven-person radiology group providing imaging services to Bayfront Medical Center in beautiful St. Petersburg, Florida, has immediate opening for a fellowship-trained breast/women's specialist BC/BE due to increasing patient load anticipated from the opening of a Breast Health Center in 2010. Areas of focus: digital screening and diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasound and image-guided breast procedures and consultations, and DEXA scans. The Breast Health Center will include: 2 new digital mammography machines and a new digital breast biopsy table and Computer-Aided Detection technology for mammography. Focus will be in breast imaging with limited general radiology.

Other technologies include:
64-slice scanner, Siemens Bi-Plane with 3D capabilities, CT SPECT system, and PACs. Annual radiology volume is approximately 155,000 procedures. Competitive compensation and generous benefit package.

Requirements
Florida license, BC/BE in radiology, breast imaging fellowship-trained.

Director of Breast Imaging Opportunity

 

Academic institution 45 miles outside of Boston is actively recruiting for a Director for their Breast Imaging Service.  This position will have a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities and hold a full time faculty appointment.  The Breast Imaging Service consists of two other dedicated Radiologists who specialize in Mammography and is one of several divisions in the Radiology Department.  The Radiology department of this Level I trauma center with 800 beds, has an organ based division of staff and clinical services that in addition to mammography include neuro, abdomen, MSK, pediatric, nuclear, emergency and interventional neuroradiology divisions. 

This position is housed on their main campus in the heart of Worcester, MA and provides service to the area’s residents in excess of one million.  The technology that the Radiology department has includes: full PACS/RIS/VR, CR, PET/CT, dedicated neurointerventional suite, 5 MDCT scanners including  64, 40, and  32  slice units,3-D Lab, 4 1.5 T MR systems, direct digital radiography, digital mammography, breast MRI.  In addition to 40 fulltime Radiologists, there are 16 Radiology residents and 4 fellows.  With a budget of $6,000,000 for research alone, research possibilities also exist if interested.   Physicians assigned to this service enjoy a Mon – Fri schedule, no weekends or call responsibilities, 6 weeks vacation, a competitive salary, relocation, 11 paid holidays, health, dental, life insurance, malpractice, dual pension plans and  CME allowance.
